About us

Transformatory Research Collaborative – is a team of social scientists and practitioners guided by the pluralistic vision to strengthen democratic ideals and foster solidarity. The mission of the collaborative is to deploy research for invoking social transformation. Based on Interpretivism and methodological pluralism as the foundational approach, the collaborative aims to undertake evidence-based research and research-driven activities that could have transformative potential for the lived experiences of people and their quest for tangible and non-tangible capabilities. While rigorous scientific research is our primary focus, we intend to act both as the observer and the participant in various grassroot processes. Here, we recognize the complementarity between theory and action and would like to strive for translating science into practice. Thus, we choose to refrain from constricting ourselves between functional dichotomies. Instead, we are inclined to act along the lines of intersectionality and integrated perspective and hope that our activities organically culminate into expansion of freedom and choice for individuals.
